Specialty coffees

Our goal is to cultivate and process the highest quality coffee we can possibly produce. This is partly because it's the most effective way to significantly increase the income of each participating producer. But it's also because we're proud of what we do, and simply because we enjoy a cup of excellence.

As an organization, we began preparing specialty coffees in 2018. However, many of our members have worked with roasters—and in specialty coffee preparation—for much longer. Some, like Don Rosalío, who appears in that video, have been growing coffee for over five decades. He has worked with a select group of roasters since 2012 and also generously shares his knowledge with newer and younger Cafesmo members.

We offer workshops to our new and existing members to help them improve their harvest and post-harvest processes. We also work to connect our members with roasters seeking direct, long-term relationships.
