Hidardo Hernández
Cafesmo began with the support of Carlos Roberto and, above all, with great perseverance and determination. Hidardo works in the general management of Cafesmo and leads the different teams. He is a coffee lover.
Administration
Cinthya Vanessa
She is the secretary of the board of directors, adhering to Cafesmo's fundamental principle: constant innovation and the pursuit of added value. She leads with motivational skills and is also a producer at the El Roblar farm.
Roy
He's the administrator of Cafesmo, handling all the finances and managing the company's operations. In addition, he and his wife produce high-quality micro-lots and export specialty coffee to several countries. Roy is a huge coffee lover.
Quality control and traceability
Wendy
Wendy started at Cafesmo in March 2023 as a lab assistant, but she was so excited about the profiling and sensory skills that she soon applied to become a taster herself, and graduated in September 2024.
Belkis
As soon as Belkis turned 18, she started working at Cafesmo, and now she's in charge of our roastery, where all our member producers can roast their coffees under her supervision. She also assists our coffee taster, Idalia, with her daily responsibilities and learns a great deal in the process. Belkis is quickly becoming a professional roaster and cupper. Currently, she prefers natural coffee profiles for their smooth acidity and pronounced flavors.
Rosanni
Rosanni is responsible for certifications and traceability. It's a demanding job; there are 8,000 pages of producer documentation, and you need a keen eye for detail if you don't want to get lost in the many nuances of each certification. Of course, Rosanni loves coffee. In fact, she grew up on her parents' farm. But she also enjoys cooking and music. Ballads accompany her as she wades through all the paperwork. Rosanni also has a creative side: she likes to draw with charcoal and paint in her free time.
Technical support
Jony
Yony almost became a semi-professional footballer. In fact, he was selected for a first-division club and was ready to move to his new club's city when he decided that in the long run it would be better for him to grow high-quality coffee on his farm with his family.
Geremiah
Geremías wasn't trained to become a Cafesmo technical assistant. At least not formally, since he went to school to become a social promoter. However, he was born and raised on a coffee farm, and after spending a week at Cafesmo for a school project, he was so enthusiastic that he also did his three-month internship with us!
Maynor
He joined Cafesmo in June 2021. However, he used to play on our premises when he was a six-year-old boy, long before Cafesmo existed. He lives across the street and is now a highly valued agronomic assistant. Maynor dreams of owning his own farm someday, to grow the same great coffees he now helps our producer members with.
Juan Francisco
Chico is the most senior and quite possibly the most reliable member of the Cafesmo team. He started the morning Cafesmo received its first batch of coffee in 2017, and we seriously wonder if he's taken a single day off since that memorable moment. Chico is responsible for drying and storing every single batch. Yes, he works harder than anyone else.
Dilcia
She started working with Cafesmo the day we opened. She does all sorts of jobs: drying coffees, checking things in the warehouse, everything. But above all, she loves working in the nursery, taking care of the smaller plants.
Technology
Jhony
He started working at the gas station next to Cafesmo, but was soon invited to work in the office because he's a computer technician and the organization increasingly needs IT expertise. Jhony was born in Mercedes and has always lived surrounded by coffee farms.
Brayan
He's a web design and development student. He joined the team part-time and is responsible for the website, photography, and some cloud-based data management. He also helps Sebastián with his tasks. Brayan loves playing sports.
Relationship management
Sebastian
He's responsible for international sales. He's originally from the Netherlands, but he's been working in Honduras for nearly twenty years. Before working with Cafesmo, Sebastián didn't drink coffee! Now he's a coffee lover, and he knows more and more about it all the time.
Jairo
Jairo joined the Cafesmo team in 2023 and is responsible for customer relations nationwide, as well as promotion and marketing. Indeed, Cafesmo is growing in Honduras too! Jairo is the brother of Roy, one of our most renowned producers, and Jairo himself is a coffee lover. However, nothing makes him feel more alive and creative than being in the kitchen. Preparing delicious dishes is a true delight for him, as Jairo loves experimenting with flavors and surprising his loved ones with his culinary creations. Perhaps one day you too will be able to try one of his dishes, paired with a cup of coffee prepared by his brother Roy?
