Our facilities
We started Cafesmo modestly, but with big aspirations. In the beginning, back in 2017, we were crammed into the cramped, aging offices like sardines in a can.
Since then, we have been expanding, and thanks to the support of the World Bank and other actors, we have managed to modernize and greatly expand our facilities since 2019.
Just before the 2019/20 harvest we inaugurated our new wet mill, which has a much larger capacity, and at the same time water usage has decreased by 90%.
We have two GrainPro mobile drying patios of 75m2 each, to expand and improve the surface area available for drying our specialty coffees.
On October 1, 2020, we inaugurated our new offices. They are large enough not only for the current team but also for the growth we are planning for the next ten years. The building is modern and comfortable, without unnecessary luxuries.
What is equipped with the latest and greatest technology on the market is our new cupping lab. This is because it's the epicenter of our activities, and where the passionate heartbeat of our coffees is most clearly felt: controlling, measuring, experimenting, innovating, and constantly improving the profiles of our coffees.
