Woman's Power
We are the women of Cafesmo, and we are proud of what we do. Some of us are still very young, while others have already passed the formal retirement age.
However, the 54 of us are determined to form this group and we work side by side to promote our coffees internationally.
Many of us are alone. Our spouses have died, or they've gone to the United States; some of them decades ago, in search of a better life, and never returned. But many of us are happily married, and some of us work with our husbands, or with our brothers or sons. No one—man or woman—is capable of managing a farm alone, at least not during the harvest season.
So we decided to form this group of women because together we can offer more volume and more variety than each of us could individually. Furthermore, we can achieve so much more by combining our unique talents, knowledge, and experiences. But most importantly, as a group, we feel supported by each other and can gain more traction and visibility.
Our farms are certified by Rain Forest Alliance , Fair Trade, and Organic .
Since each of us grows and processes our own coffees, you can work with us individually. But we're also happy to offer you blends we've put together.
